Dithered picture of me in front of a whiteboard

Lucien Astié

I am a PhD student working on the resilience of digital services infrastructure managed as commons at LS2N (IMT Atlantique).
Supervised by Hélène Coullon, Erwan Bousse, Théo Le Calvar and Baptiste Jonglez.
(Also it is in partnership with Deuxfleurs :P)

For those of you that know me from before, you might wonder what’s going on. It wasn’t planned for me to go in computer science research because having studied at ENSAM I was destined to work on production lines and mechanical problems. But I succeded in doing a u-turn and landing on my feet in… distributed systems ! Especially in the STACK and NaoMod teams. But if I succeded in getting this valuable position it’s because in my free time I try to put some energy in projects that feel like making the world a bit more durable, fair and globally gentle. In particular with the collective Deuxfleurs which I’m part of.
